Death toll continues to mount in battle against COVID-19

HUDSON VALLEY – The number of people to have died from COVID-19 in the Hudson Valley/Catskills region has reached 1,938, according to the latest report from the state health department.

A total of 1,031 people succumbed to the deadly virus in Westchester County.

Rockland County has lost 398 residents while 322 people have died in Orange County.

A total of 69 people passed away from the virus in Dutchess County, while 45 died in Putnam County, 35 died in Ulster County and 22 have died in Sullivan County.

Columbia County has seen 14 people pass away while two people have died in Greene County.
