Virtual class on pigs being held by Cornell Cooperative

ORANGE COUNTY – The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Counties is presenting an online class to teach people about pigs.

The online class, “PIGS! How to get Started,” on Thursday, June 4th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm via Zoom, an online platform.

This event is open to all with an interest in pigs, including FFA and 4-H members. Cornell will cover the basics of pig production, breed selection, production systems, herd management practices, cost of production, and basic marketing regulations and outlets. Attendees can participate via a computer or phone.

There is a registration fee of $5. Once you are registered, the Zoom link to participate in the class will be emailed to you.
