MONTICELLO – As the pandemic continues, there is still some interest in future development in the region.

Sullivan County Partnership President Marc Baez said he continues to receive inquiries about business growth opportunities.

“I think you will find another aspect of this is if they are even contemplating leaving a more populous area or tri-state area, and want to relocate somewhere, they probably have a little more reason to do so now. So, we may feel a bit of an uptick on that as we come out of this later on in the year,” he said.

Prior to COVID-19, there had been an interest in hotels and other development across the greater region.
