POUGHKEEPSIE –  Hudson Valley-based businesses DJ Dolce Productions and Impact PR & Communications have joined forces to raise money for Poughkeepsie-based Dutchess Outreach.

The businesses are playing host to a virtual dance party on Friday, May 1 from 7 PM to 9 PM. Dubbed “Club-19 for a Cause,” the evening will feature tunes spun by DJ Dolce and tons of home-based grooving. The event will support Dutchess Outreach, a local organization that has operated emergency food access and relief programs and services to Dutchess County residents for more than 46 years.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has had an enormous impact on our ability to provide food to those in need,” said Tara Whalen, Associate Director for Dutchess Outreach.  “Our food pantry has been overwhelmed with requests for food that we are glad to provide, but it has substantially affected our finances,” added Whalen.

“We’re so thankful to DJ Dolce Productions and Impact PR & Communications for putting together this virtual dance party,” said Dutchess Outreach’s Sarah Salem, who followed by saying “Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit our area, our demand has doubled, and we are serving some clients who haven’t visited the pantry in more than 20 years. Every dance-filled dollar will help us serve more people in our community who need it.”

All are welcome and can access the event via Zoom using the code 461-004-4297, or by clicking https://us02web.zoom.us/j/4610044297. The party is free to join, but contributions of any amount are encouraged and can be directed to www.dutchessoutreach.org/donate.
