HUDSON VALLEY – Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHV) has pledged $30,000 to local organizations throughout the Hudson Valley to bolster pandemic relief efforts.
Recognizing the invaluable work that area non-profits are doing in support of COVID-19 relief, MHV has partnered with six organizations dealing specifically with food insecurities to provide financial assistance for their efforts. Recipients include People’s Place in Ulster County, Project Resilience in Ulster County, the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley in Orange County, the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan County, Caring for the Hungry and Homeless of Peekskill, and Dutchess Responds.
Each organization received a $5,000 grant from MHV. According to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, one of the grant recipients, the money will allow their organization to provide 20,000 meals to those in need.
