Fatal fire in Town of Woodbury

WOODBURY – A house fire in the Town of Woodbury Wednesday morning claimed the life of an elderly man.

Woodbury Police said the victim, identified as Klyde Magarelli, 79, perished in the blaze that broke out around 5:30 a.m.

Several area fire departments were called to the scene to assist in quelling the flames that engulfed the single-family house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
