ALBANY – The number of new jobs in the Hudson Valley recorded in the 12-months ending in March began to show the effects of the coronavirus.

New jobs grow in Sullivan County by 5.5 percent, in Greene County by 1.9 percent, and in Ulster County by 1.7 percent.

They grew marginally, by 0.4 percent, in the Dutchess-Putnam Metropolitan Division.

They declined, though, by 1.8 percent in Columbia County and by 0.6 percent in the Orange-Rockland-Westchester Metro Area.

April figures, to be released next month, are expected to reflect the full impact of job losses due to COVID-19.
