POUGHKEEPSIE – Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation (HVEDC) announced that it has partnered with Ellenbogen Creative Media and Focus Media to develop a weekly webinar series titled, “Back to Business: Ready for the Big Comeback!” that will launch at 4 p.m. on April 23. The series, which will be broadcasted on HVEDC’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, will feature different weekly topics that provide guidance on what businesses can do now to prepare for the re-opening of the economy.

“We know these are exceptionally challenging times, and we wanted to create a platform that will dispense valuable information for businesses to help them weather the storm, stay strong and be reinvigorated once COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted,” said HVEDC President and CEO Mike Oates. “We’re excited to partner with Ellenbogen and Focus Media to make this happen, and we’re grateful for our featured speakers who will be providing expert advice.”

The inaugural webinar will feature two speakers: Dominic Cordisco, partner of New Windsor-based law firm Drake Loeb, who will provide an overview of methods to allow planning boards and applicants to continue to function and do business while New York is on PAUSE; and Elizabeth Rowley, President and CEO of Community Foundation of Orange & Sullivan, who will discuss the Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund and how it can help nonprofits operate during this unprecedented time.

Rand Commercial will headline the April 30 session and Focus Media will dispense marketing advice during the May 7 webinar. Additional information will be provided in the coming weeks.
