Over 1,200 Hudson Valley residents die from COVID-19

HUDSON VALLEY – A total of 1,262 Hudson Valley residents have died from the coronavirus this far, according to the latest numbers from the state health department.

Westchester County has the highest number of deaths, 640, with 244 in nursing homes or adult care facilities.

Rockland County had 389 deaths with 47 in nursing homes or adult care facilities.

With 133 deaths reports, Orange County’s toll includes 72 in nursing homes or adult care facilities.

Dutchess County has had 38 deaths with 11 in nursing homes or adult care facilities.

Putnam County’s death toll reached 31 with 10 in nursing homes or adult care facilities.

Ulster County had 14 deaths with two in nursing homes or adult care facilities.

Columbia County had 10 deaths with seven in adult care or nursing homes.

Sullivan County had seven deaths with two in nursing or adult care facilities.

There have been no deaths in Greene County.
