PLEASANT VALLEY – State Police have arrested four Devereaux Foundation employees following an investigation that began on March 26.

Troopers were called to Gretna Road in Pleasant Valley to assist with the transportation of a Devereaux client to Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.

Investigation found the victim had fallen two days earlier on March 24 and sustained serious injuries.

The Devereaux employees allegedly failed to report the incident when it occurred, failed to seek proper medical treatment for the victim, and intentionally omitted information from business records in order to cover up the incident.

All four involved workers, who live in Poughkeepsie, were later arrested in charges of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person as a felony.

The are identified as Jason Fearon, 24, Trent Carney, 30, Stokely Watson, 49, and Deborah Singler, 54. Fearon was also charged with a misdemeanor of falsifying business records.

The employees were all issued appearance tickets returnable to Pleasant Valley Town Court.
