WASHINGTONVILLE – Aurochemicals has manufactured and donated tens of thousands of surgical masks in the fight against the coronavirus.

The Washingtonville-based manufacturer of natural aroma ingredients in the flavor and fragrance industry, supplies 50,000 masks to Orange County Government and 42,000 masks to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill.

The masks donated to Orange County will be provided to hospitals, long-term care facilities, police agencies, emergency medical technicians, nursing homes and county departments, said County Executive Steven Neuhaus.

“We are so appreciative of the region’s selfless first responders and healthcare professionals,” said Aurochemicals’ CEO Deo Persaud. “That’s why we are honored to make these masks available – not only to contribute to their life-saving efforts, but to safeguard the health of these courageous men and women who first and foremost choose to help others.”
