Dutchess Outreach provides hot, healthy meals to those in need.

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Bonura Hospitality Group, which owns and operates a hotel, restaurants and catering halls in Orange and Dutchess counties, has had to lay off over 400 of their 1,000 employees because of COVID-19.

But, the family-owned business is taking care of them by providing a hot meal every day, said Joe Bonura, Jr.

“While we don’t have hours for them, while we don’t have work for them right now, we do have food. So each day between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. both in Orange County and Dutchess County, we’re cooking hot meals to go for the families that work for us. It’s a drive-through service. They come, roll down their window, we give them a hot food pan with food to take home and they can feed their family with it,” he said.

They also built and own WaterClub Luxury Living condominiums in Poughkeepsie.
