Hyde Park man arrested on welfare endangerment charge

RHINEBECK – A 38-year-old Hyde Park man who worked at Astor Services for Children and Families, has been arrested by State Police.

Troopers charged Tarell Heard with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person as a felony.

On March 22, investigators were contacted by Astor regarding an incident involving a staff member and a care recipient.

It is alleged that Heard while working at Astor, endangered the welfare of a child under the age of 16.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Rhinebeck Village Court.
