Blooming Grove man arrested for Cornwall convenience store holdup

CORNWALL – Police in the Town of Cornwall have arrested a Blooming Grove man on a felony robbery charge for allegedly holding up a clerk at the Cumberland Farms store on Route 94 in Salisbury Mills on Monday.

The employee told police a man, later identified as Nathan Dennison, 31, held him up at gunpoint shortly after 10 a.m. and fled the scene before investigators arrived.

Cornwall Town Police were assisted at the scene by New Windsor and Blooming Grove Town Police, Washingtonville Village Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

It was reported the gunman left in a vehicle that was waiting outside the store.

Following investigation, Dennison was arrested on the felony charge and was being held for arraignment.
