Parents lined up at RCK HS to pick up Chromebooks for their children.

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Parents of Roy C. Ketcham High School students lined up in the school’s parking lot Wednesday morning to pick up Google Chromebooks assigned to students so that class instruction can resume on Friday, April 3.

The Wappingers Central School District (WCSD) had originally planned to distribute the Chromebooks on March 30 and 31 but pushed the distribution date to April 1.

called up to the distribution table on at a time.  Chromebooks and a piece of paper were provided to the parents that signed.  The district staff said that the Chromebooks are to be returned when school is back in session or on June 23, whichever comes first.  June 23 is the scheduled last day of the school year.

According to the district website, the WCSD staff will be preparing instruction material on Wednesday and Thursday to provide “Continuity of Learning” starting on Friday, April 3.
