ALBANY – The HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley in Kingston will provide 235 beds for the anticipated surge in coronavirus patients, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said today.

In addition to the emergency hospitals built at the Javits Center in Manhattan, in Westchester County and on Long Island, he said four other temporary hospitals will be developed in the other four boroughs of the City of New York.

He said the models say the apex of the pandemic will be 14 to 21 days.

The governor also asked pharmacies to provide home delivery to minimize the need for people to go out in public.

In other news to come from his daily briefing, Cuomo said he is pushing the presidential primary back from April 28 to June 23, the same date for the state and congressional primaries.

And he said the USNS Comfort should arrive in New York harbor on Monday, bringing with it a fully staffed 1,000 bed floating hospital.
