GOSHEN – Two more people have died in Orange County as a result of coronavirus-related illnesses, County Executive Steven Neuhaus said on Thursday.

They were the second and third people to succumb to effects of the deadly virus.

A woman, in her 70s, suffered from pre-existing health issues, he said. Another woman over the age of 90 with pre-existing medical conditions also passed away.

As of Thursday, the county now has 756 positive COVID-19 cases.

Neuhaus said he was prohibited from saying where victims lived or if they were in a nursing home, but he did say she did not pass away in the same nursing home as the first victim, a 99-year-old man, Benjamin Klein. He passed away from complications from pre-existing conditions at the New Windsor Country Inn.
