Thruway crash in Ulster claims life of Westchester woman

SAUGERTIES – A Yonkers woman who was traveling alone on the Thruway in the Town of Saugerties Monday evening drove off the southbound highway and struck a guiderail.

State Police said the driver, Mary Devine, 70, who was alone in the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 5:15 p.m. accident.

Troopers said the crash appears to be weather related.
