NEW ROCHELLE – New Rochelle City School District Superintendent Dr. Laura Feijoo has tested positive for the corona virus. She announced the results of her test on Saturday.
Feijoo said she must be quarantined for two weeks from the date of her test, Monday, March 16.
She said School Board President Amy Boselhi will also be quarantined. Both will remain at their homes “and will continue to commit to the work we are doing in district,” Feijoo said.
“My symptoms are mild and I feel blessed to have the support of family, friends, colleagues and the board,” the superintendent wrote in a message to parents.
“I will ask my cabinet to use their best judgment in terms of being tested and self-quarantined. The district’s work will continue and we remain committed to the success of each student,” Feijoo said.
