Two more positive COVID-19 test results in Orange County

NEWBURGH –A total of 219 positive cases of the coronavirus have now been reported in Orange County.

A person regularly at Heritage Middle School tested positive for the coronavirus, Newburgh Schools Superintendent Dr. Roberto Padillo said Friday. The Orange County Health Department notified him of the test result. March 13 is the last known date the individual was present at the school.

Anyone who was in Heritage Middle School on Friday, March 13 and is symptomatic should contact their healthcare provider.

This is the second positive test in the Newburgh school system. Someone who attended Newburgh Free Academy North also tested positive.

Meanwhile, the county health department said a person who tested positive was at a synagogue in the Vyoel Moshe School on Larkin Drive in Monroe on Monday, March 16 while symptomatic.

Anyone who was at the school on that date is urged to call the health department at 845-291-2330.
