CARMEL – The special meeting of the Putnam County Legislature scheduled for Thursday evening at Tilly Foster went ahead as scheduled; however, County Executive MaryEllen Odell did not deliver her full state of the county address.

Instead, she presented her written materials to legislators to fulfill the requirements of the county charter.

Odell continues to oversee the county’s response to the virus and the department of health has instituted daily internal coronavirus briefings with key partner agencies and organizations to keep all necessary groups informed on the latest information.

The county executive’s full state of the county presentation will be rescheduled at a later date still to be determined.
