Man who fought with Orangetown Police is indicted

NEW CITY – A Rockland County grand jury has indicted a Nyack man on charges of assault and obstructing governmental administration after he fought with Orangetown Police following a traffic stop.

Tyrell Bridgers, 36, was also charged with resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated and aggravated operation of a motor vehicle stemming from an incident on February 28 on Main Street in Nyack.

Bridgers drove his car while having a suspended license and in an intoxicated condition.

As Orangetown Police attempted to investigate the situation, Bridgers became combative and fought with officers, causing injury to one.
