ATF seeks information on stolen assault weapons

ALBANY – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the theft of firearms from Zero Tolerance Manufacturing, Inc., a federal firearms licensee in Ghent.

An unknown person or persons broke into the business at 131 Route 9H in Ghent on February 18 between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. and stole five AR-type rifles.

The Columbia and Greene County sheriff’s offices and State Police are working with the ATF Albany office on the investigation.

Anyone with information about the burglary or stolen weapons is asked to call the ATF at 1-888-ATF-GUNS (888-283-4867). All tips will be kept confidential.
