Poughkeepsie man charged with molesting disabled resident

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 39-year-old City of Poughkeepsie man has been arrested by city police for allegedly fondling a physically disabled resident of an apartment in the area of 20 North Bridge Street.

On February 20 at about 8 p.m., a 67-year-old disabled resident answered her doorbell, the man, identified as Eugene Brown, lunged at the victim in her apartment, pushed her down and fondled her as she screamed for help.

The man left then quickly returned and repeated the attack.

After investigation, Brown was arrested on Saturday, February 29 at about 3:45 p.m.

He was charged with sexually motive burglary as a felony and forcible touching as a misdemeanor.

Brown was arraigned and sent to the Dutchess County Jail.
