NEWBURGH – A man who was seriously assaulted in Newburgh has died and city police are investigating his death as a homicide.
Investigators told Mid-Hudson News that the man, whose identity has not yet been made public, was found in a park across the street from 9 Hasbrouck Street early in the morning on Thursday, February 20.
Because of the severity of his injuries, he was transported to Westchester Medical Center where he died on Tuesday, February 25.
The Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office has declared the man’s death a homicide.
