COXSACKIE – A man and woman, both Greene County residents, have been arrested in connection with two attempted burglaries at local gun shops.
Country Armory on Route 9W and Recon-Defense on County Route 45 were both targeted. In both instances, a masked subject or subjects attempted to gain entry through the front doors of the businesses.
An investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrests of Robert Simpson and Melissa Anderson.
They were both charged with two counts of attempted burglary and two counts of criminal mischief, all as felonies.
Anderson was released pending a future court appearance. Simpson was remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail and is due back in court at a later date.
