TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – The deadline for filing for property tax exemptions is March 1, 2020, according to Town of Poughkeepsie Assessor Jennifer Mund.
Property owners seeking exemptions for the following are encouraged to file the necessary documents with the assessor’s office prior to March 1.
- Enhanced STAR (Typically, first-time filers).
- Senior Citizens Exemption (First-time filers and yearly renewals).
- Disability Exemptions (First-time filers and yearly renewals).
- Agricultural Exemptions (First-time filers and yearly renewals.
- Veteran Exemptions (Typically, first-time filers and disability rating changes).
- Solar Exemptions (Typically, first-time filers).
- Non Profit Exemptions (First-time filers and yearly renewals).
