Two-car crash leaves Woodbourne woman dead

SOUTH FALLSBURG – A man driving home from work at 6:20 Friday morning is believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel while driving a pickup truck, drifted into the opposite lane of Route 42 in South Fallsburg and struck a small car driven by a woman going to work. She was killed in the crash.

Fallsburg Police Detective Brendan Pavese identified the fatal victim as Catherine Earing, 67, of Woodbourne. She was on her way to work with Rolling V bus company, the officer said.

Demetrious Bishop, 40, of Grahamsville, was on his way home from work at a Montgomery warehouse when he is believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel.

The investigation into the accident is continuing.
