Three arrested with assault rifle, drugs, counterfeit cash

NANUET- Clarkstown Police have arrested three people following a warrant search at 34 Church Street in Nanuet on Thursday and charged them with possession of a weapon and drugs.

The warrant was the result of an investigation by the Clarkstown Police Street Crime Unit after several complaints were received about drug sales taking place there.

The search resulted in the seizure of a loaded AR-15-style assault weapon, crack cocaine, a counterfeit $100 bill and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested were Jenna Mazzella, 27, Anderson Jean, 36, and Richard Carpentieri (Knieriem), 34, all of Nanuet.

Mazzella and Carpentieri were charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of a weapon and a second count as for a previous conviction, as well as a misdemeanor for criminal possession of a weapon.

Anderson was also charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Jean was denied bail due to previous felony convictions. Both Mazzella and Carpentieri had bail set at $1,000.
