Yorktown traffic stop leads to arrest

YORKTOWN – Police in Yorktown have arrested a 37-year-old Mahopac man following a traffic stop on Country Place.

An officer stopped a vehicle for having a broken windshield.

A DMV check revealed the driver, whose named police did not provide in a news release, was operating with a suspended license and had in his possession a quantity of Suboxone and a substance alleged to be cocaine.

Following his arrest on February 12, the man was released on an appearance ticket and three traffic tickets returnable to Yorktown Justice Court.
