Kingston homicide investigation continues

KINGSTON – As police in the City of Kingston continue to investigate the February 11 shooting death of a local man, they have released the victim’s name.

Ashley Stephan Dixon, 31, of Green Street in Kingston was found at around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Sheehan Court after officers responded to reports of shots being fired.

Dixon was rushed to Health Alliance Hospital’s Broadway campus where he was pronounced dead.

The Ulster County District Attorney’s and Sheriff’s Offices are assisting in the investigation along with State Police and Town of Ulster Police.
