NEWBURGH – The City of Newburgh has upgraded its emergency notification system through CodeRED, giving staff the ability to deliver high-speed mass notifications to residents during emergencies like snowstorm parking rules, boil water advisories, and missing child alerts.

Notifications can be sent via call, text or email. Residents and businesses are encouraged to enroll on the city’s website, www.cityofnewburgh-ny.gov. Click the Emergency Notifications button to enroll by providing phone numbers, email addresses, and home addresses.

City officials said no one should automatically assume they are already in the alerts database. Businesses and individuals should register, as should people with unlisted phone numbers and people who have changed their phone number of address within the last year, and people who use their cell phone as their primary phone.
