GOSHEN – On the same day as three members of the Crisantos family were laid to rest, an Orange County grand jury Friday indicted the man who allegedly killed them on three counts of first-degree murder.

Jimmy Crisantos, 27, his wife Shatavia Crisantos, 26, and their nine-year-old son were all shot to death inside their Route 300, Town of Newburgh home on January 26, 2020. Their three-year-old son was wounded several times and a third son escaped uninjured with the help of a neighbor.

The grand jury also charged Kaliek Goode-Ford with attempted murder, three counts of second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence.

Goode-Ford was charged with tampering with physical evidence for throwing the pistol and magazine into the Hudson River.

Ge faces a sentence of life in state prison without the possibility of parole on the first-degree murder charges.

“Obviously, the intentional shooting of a mother, father and two young children inside their home is among the most heinous atrocities imaginable,” said District Attorney David Hoovler.

He credited the Newburgh Town Police and State Police with investigating the case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Richard Moran, Ryan Greenbaum and Christine Maggiore.
