Hudson Valley Honor Flight’s Kimler tapped to join national board of the Honor Flight Network

WALDEN – Hudson Valley Honor Flight announced that board Chairman Frank Kimler has been elected to serve on the national board of directors for the Honor Flight Network. Kimler will serve as a board member and treasurer for a term of two years.

The Honor Flight Network is a national network comprised of 125 independent hubs working together in furtherance of the Honor Flight mission. Of the 125 hubs the Honor Flight Network oversees, Hudson Valley Honor Flight is one. All of the hubs together have escorted 222,123 veterans from all across the United States.

Jennifer DeFrancesco, executive director of Hudson Valley Honor Flight said under Kimler’s leadership HVHF “has been able to honor 1,872 veterans, as well as earn the love and respect of veterans and volunteers alike.”

Hudson Valley Honor Flight is a local nonprofit based in Walden that honors Hudson Valley area veterans for all their sacrifices by bringing them to Washington, D.C. to visit their respective war memorials at no cost to them.
