HAVERSTRAW – Two people were shot, one fatally, behind a funeral home in Haverstraw Thursday evening, according to EMS reports.
It happened behind T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home on Broadway where police and the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office were seen for hours.
Neighbors said a funeral home owner had been shot by a former employee who had been fired hours earlier. Someone else in the funeral home had a gun and shot the suspect, they said.
Police have yet to release any information about the incident.
