Nyack man arrested on attempted robbery charge

NYACK – Orangetown Police have arrested a Nyack man on a charge of attempted robbery in connection with an incident that occurred early in the morning of January 28 in the area of Cedar and Main streets in the Village of Nyack.

It is alleged that John Hall, 56, approached a man and told him to “give me what you got.” A struggle ensured and the victim was able to get away with the suspect in pursuit. The victim was able to elude Hall and notify a patrol officer.

Police investigated and were able to apprehend Hall.

No proceeds were last.

Hall was processed at Orangetown Police headquarters and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Nyack Justice Court.
