Hudson man sentenced to prison for crack cocaine conspiracy

ALBANY – A City of Hudson man was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in federal prison for his involvement in a crack cocaine distribution that operated in Columbia County.

As part of his guilty plea, Julan Morrison, also known as “Weez,” 38, admitted that between August and December 2017, he was involvement in the conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine.

He admitted that members of the conspiracy made weekly trips to New York City where they purchase hundreds of grams of powder cocaine, returned it to Hudson, converted it to crack cocaine, and then sold it to customers.

Morrison admitted that the organization sold at least 464 grams of crack cocaine between August and December 2017.

In addition to the prison time, Morrison was sentenced by District Judge Thomas McAvoy to five years of supervised release.

The investigation was conducted by the US Attorney, State Police, FBI and Hudson Police Department.
