CARMEL – Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell has announced the appointment of Casey Quake as the county’s director of emergency medical services at the Bureau of Emergency Services.

Quake, who has spent more than a decade as a paramedic, educator, and manager, has been working with EMStar Ambulance in Putnam County for the past three years.

“Mr. Quake has the experience and drive to lead our emergency medical services into the future,” said Kenneth Clair, commissioner of the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services. “Over the years, he has held progressively responsible positions in EMS as a clinician, educator, and administrator. He is also known nationally as an educator, and will bring that presence to our office.”

Quake replaces Robert Cuomo, who retired from the bureau over a year ago.

As an added benefit, Quake’s service dog, Teddy, will be joining him at the bureau.
