SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties man has been arrested following a domestic dispute that is reported to have occurred on January 28 at 58 Payton Ploss Lane in Saugerties.
Police charged Dana Cartwright with third-degree assault.
It is alleged that he struck the female victim several times in the head with a cooking pot, forcing her to the ground, and continued to beat her, pulling her hair out while screaming that she deserved to die.
Cartwright was processed at Saugerties Police headquarters on the misdemeanor charge and released on an appearance ticket.
