MONTICELLO – Three attorneys are seeking the Sullivan County Democratic Party’s nomination to run for county court judge this fall.

The three candidates made their intentions known to the county committee on Wednesday night, said County Democratic Chairman seven Vegliante.

“Craig Fine, who is also a judge in the western end of the county. We had Eric Adler, who is a long-term criminal defense attorney and former assistant district attorney and Michael Mednick, who is currently the Town of Thompson attorney and former assistant district attorney,” he said.

One candidate will be selected to run in the November election when the committee holds its convention next month.

Attorney Danielle Jose-Decker is expected to run as a Republican candidate.

Current Judge, Republican Michael McGuire is rumored not to be seeking re-election. He did not return a phone call for comment.
