NEWBURGH – Gunfire rang out in the area of South Clark Street in between Renwick Street and Benkard Avenue in the City of Newburgh around 6 Tuesday evening.
Police said two people were shot and were being treated at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall hospital in Newburgh.
A Shot Spotter notification indicated 17 shots were fired,
Police are investigating and asking anyone with information to call them at 845-561-3131.
State Police were on the scene assisting city police.
