The Hudson River Maritime Museum offers more than just info about the river.

KINGSTONThe Hudson River Maritime Museum is pleased to announce one of their most popular classes, the Toboggan Building class. This is one of many classes offered by our Wooden Boat School this year.

Join woodworker Wayne Ford in this fun weekend-long class and learn how to steam-bend planks and the basic woodworking of toboggan construction. A raffle will be held at the conclusion and one or two students will leave the course with their own, handmade wooden toboggan. Beginners welcome! Just in time for the winter. The number of toboggans built will depend on the number of students in the class.

Students will learn the techniques necessary to build a toboggan.

The class takes place on Saturday, February 22, and Sunday 23, 2020. The classes are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days. Tuition $325, discounts available for HRMM members.

To register for this class, please visit www.hrmm.org/woodworking.html or call 845-338-0071 ext. 16. If you have any questions please contact John Phelan, Wooden Boat School Coordinator at jphelan@hrmm.org.
