A third son was at home at the time but was rescued by a neighbor unharmed.

Town Police have not revealed a motive, how and where Goode-Ford was apprehended and if the weapon has been recovered. Divers were in the Hudson River off Highland on Monday and it was believed he may have tossed the gun into the river.

In September 2016, Goode-Ford was in a car stopped for a traffic violation. Police found in his possession a .22 caliber revolver loaded with 10 rounds, 100 decks of heroin, 33.4 grams of crack cocaine and 16 additional rounds of ammunition.
