NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College (MSMC) is proud to announce the appointment of Tiffany Gagliano, a 2002 MSMC graduate, as the inaugural Dean of the School of Business, effective January 15.

In her role as Dean, Gagliano is helping to expand the Mount’s external relations and partnerships, supporting recruitment, and working with campus stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for the School.

“The college will continue to improve upon the already great Business programs that we currently have, taught by our highly reputable faculty,” Gagliano explained. “We want to build our enrollment, enhance our relationships with the business community, and more.”

Gagliano is a Mount alumna and the parent of a current Mount Education student. After graduating from the Mount, Gagliano earned a Juris Doctor degree at Pace University. She has served in numerous roles with the City of Newburgh and Orange County, including Assistant Corporation Counsel for Newburgh, where she was able to make deep connections with the regional business community. In addition, she has spent a considerable amount of time in the area of compliance.

“In short, she is a Mount success story – and just the sort of champion that we want for the School of Business and the college,” said Dr. Jason N. Adsit, president of the Mount.

The Mount’s culture of service goes hand in hand with Gagliano’s commitment to the community. She has enjoyed serving as a volunteer basketball coach for most of her adult life, including seasons with Bishop Dunn Memorial School and the Newburgh Armory Unity Center. She is also a board member of Girls on the Run – Hudson Valley, a program that helps young women to develop essential life skills, with an appreciation for health and fitness.

“I love the sense of community at Mount Saint Mary College and its vision for the future,” said Gagliano. “President Adsit has great aspirations of developing an ever-deeper commitment of service to the community, which are in line with my own. So it’s very exciting to me to come back to the Mount and help to guide the growth of the School of Business.”

The Mount Saint Mary College School of Business provides students with the skillsets and knowledge needed to succeed as business professionals. Mount Business graduates go on to work in a wide variety of fields including finance, human resources, management, marketing, and more.
