MIDDLETOWN – Police in the City of Middletown are investigating a homicide that took place around 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday on Orchard Street. A source said the victim was a 16-year-old boy.
Initial information from police is that a male victim was stabbed by an unknown assailant during a dispute at a residence at 16 Orchard Street. After the assault, the victim fled onto East Main Street where he was located by police.
He was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
Investigators located the suspect in the incident, who was placed in police custody.
No other suspects are being sought at this time, police said.
