Psychiatric physician’s assistant charged with forcible touching

NEW WINDSOR – A physician’s assistant at Vitality Psychiatric Group Practice on Route 9W in New Windsor has been charged with forcible touching.

New Windsor Town Police said a patient had a follow-up appointment there on July 3, 2019, and she saw Physician’s Assistant Sean Cavanaugh, 44, at the time.

It is alleged that while he was checking her heart rate he placed the stethoscope between his finger, went underneath her shirt and underneath her bra and inappropriately touched her breast.

Cavanaugh was arrested on Monday, January 13, 2020, and an order of protection was issued against him.

He was released pending a future court appearance.
