TOWN OF WALLKILL – Orange County Jewish Family Services has expanded its Friendly Visitor Program to the Town of Wallkill.

The initial training for volunteers was conducted by Paula Blumenau on Tuesday. “Our volunteers are here learning about how to be appropriate and effective volunteers to help older neighbors and neighbors with disabilities to help with transportation, to medical appointments, grocery shopping and in-home visits for socialization,” she said.

The interfaith program conducted along with the Orange County Office for the Aging is also available in the towns of Blooming Grove, Newburgh, Montgomery, Warwick, and Woodbury.
