Andretta Pool improvements almost complete

KINGSTON – The planning process to begin implementing the City of Kingston’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative projects is underway and Mayor Steven Noble expects work to begin this spring.

In particular, the mayor believes an upgrade to a facility at Dietz Stadium will be among the first. “One of the first projects that will most likely have the shovel in the ground will be improvements to our Andretta Pool, which is part of the Dietz Stadium complex. Work is scheduled to begin in the spring, hopefully in time for the pool to open; Father’s Day weekend in 2020. So, that is going to be one of our first projects while the rest are going through the state design process,” he said.

The City of Kingston was the second community in the Mid-Hudson Valley to win a $10 million DRI. The City of Middletown was the first.
