TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 24-year-old Town of Wallkill woman has been charged with assault following the stabbing of a woman in an apartment at the Boulder Point Apartments at 203 Genung Street, police said.
The incident, at 10:50 a.m. on Thursday stemmed from a domestic incident.
The victim, a 27-year-old Wallkill woman, told town police she was stabbed by her wife. She was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center and listed in stable condition with stab wounds to her arm and back.
Investigation led to the arrest of Jasmine Criss, 24, also of Wallkill.
She was charged with felony assault and a misdemeanor of criminal possession of a weapon.
Criss was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
