HAWTHORNE – A Greenburgh woman was struck and killed by a passing vehicle as she crossed the Bronx River Parkway at Fisher Lane in Greenburgh Tuesday evening.
Westchester Police said Sandra Dekoubia, 57, of 7 Adams Place, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said that at around 6:17 p.m. the victim was struck by a Lexus SUV traveling southbound in the left lane of travel. No charges were filed against the driver of the vehicle, who remained at the scene.
She had apparently just got off a Metro-North train at the North White Plains station and was crossing the road on her way home when she was struck, police said.
